Neil-J Currie
Radio Presenter | Music Curator | Sheffield
Neil-J Currie is a Sheffield-based radio presenter, music curator and interviewer with a genuine curiosity about the people making things happen – on stage, on record and everywhere in between.
His show, Neil’s Sunday Service, airs every Sunday morning and takes listeners on a carefully curated journey through three hours of music and conversation. The first two hours move through Trip-Hop, Nu Jazz, Modern Downtempo, Synthwave, Alt-Pop, Neo Soul and wherever the mood takes them. The third is something different: a live, in-depth conversation with a live performer, artist, comedian or creator about their work, their influences and the music that shapes them.
Past guests have included actor and comedian Selina Moskinsi, singer-songwriter Sam Ashby, visual artist Joanne Hawley and LA based stand-up Brit Barron. Upcoming guests include Reuben Kaye, Coco the Time Travelling Tart, Kat Higgins, Ellie Ross, Hannah Platt, Ruby Carr and Amy Matthews.
Neil has been honing his craft as a live broadcaster for over four years with Trans Radio UK , where he developed the instincts, discipline and on-air presence that make Neil’s Sunday Service what it is today; a show built around genuine taste, deep listening and real conversation.
If you think he belongs on your station, he’d love to hear from you.
